c.       How to Check-In

  • Staff will still be doing Check-Ins but through the SHELVING MODULE
  • For Future applications, the RFID system does have the ability for patrons to check in their own items

Here’s how the RFID works in the Check-Out Process:

The system captures the electronic signature of the item instantaneously. Once the transaction is approved by the Library’s system, the “check-out” process is completed.

During the process, the RFID tag is “disarmed” and could be taken out through the security gates without alarm.
