LPLS RFID Transactions June 1st

Check-outs:

• Linebaugh had over 2600 check-outs on their RFID stations 6/1 
• Smyrna had over 300 check-outs

Check-Ins:

• Linebaugh had over 2100 check-ins.
• Smyrna had almost 1400 check-ins.

Smyrna Library RFID Soft Launch

Now that Linebaugh Library has had their RFID soft launch for their 3rd week in a row, Smyrna has decided to begin theirs as well!  Smyrna Library has one RFID self-check station open on the far end of the circulation desk. So now Smyrna patrons can experience the Library’s new RFID system! Just as Linebaugh patrons’ have been.

Soon…2 more self-check stations will be added to the Circulation desk, with the station closest to the door remaining a staff only station. We hope Smyrna Patrons enjoy the new RFID System as much as the LinebaughPatrons have, and we all look forward to the full launch this summer!

Linebaugh Library RFID Soft Launch – Week 2

Hello Linebaugh Staff and Patrons!

Today is starting the second week of your soft launch! We hope you’ve been enjoying it thus far and are ready for the Full Launch July 1st!

BRS wants to commend staff for doing such a great job interacting/teaching patrons how to use the new system. So whatever you all are doing,keep it up, because the patron’s love it!

And don’t forget to write your comments below on how the ELiMS RFID System has helped Linebaugh Library thus far!

Updated Instructions!

Attention ALL Library Staff!! I wanted to let you know that this Blog will be you resource for Up-to-date instructions! Just scroll down on the home page, and to the right of this post you’ll see a list of the Instruction Pages. Feel free to check this regularly for current information on your New RFID system. And keep a look out for the soon to come videos to help you remember the training sessions!

And congratulations on your soft launch success Linebaugh! It seems as though you and the patrons are really enjoying this new system!

Soft Launch Success!

With only 2-3 RFID stations up and running during the soft launch, the Linebaugh Library has averaged over 2700 checkouts on the self check from Monday through Saturday. It seems the Library is averaging almost 600 a day!

BRS is glad to hear how well the patrons are adapting to Linebaugh’s RFID system and hope the staff adapts as easily so everyone can be ready and excited for the Full Launch July 1st!

Soft Launch May 3rd

Attention all Library patrons and staff!! I hope you all are ready for the soft launch Monday May 3rd!

At least 3 stations will be up and running with the new ELiMS RFID system! If you don’t remember from the training how the functions work, simply read the blog pages!

Linebaugh Training

So Smyrna has returned to normal hours and Linebaugh has been busy tagging away! And all gates are installed and staff training is complete!

And I think Linebaugh is a little ahead of Smyrna’s tagging record of approximately 6,000/day. Plus, Smyrna staff still managed to tag about 3,000 items the other day, while still being open to the public! Way to go staff! You’re almost there!

As for Training, please note that:  all instructions will be on its own specific page (i.e. How to Arm/Disarm…) and all pages can be found if you scroll down a bit on the “Home” page and they page titles are located on the right hand side.

But also, further instructions from the training session including videos will be found under the page titled: “Training Instructions and Videos“.  This will have the same password as the other pages. If  you don’t know the password, simply ask Pete, Toma or Rita.

Smyrna Library

The Smyrna Library is back open again! And as patrons can see the Library has already made some apparent changes. The new RFID security gates are installed and currently Linebaugh is having theirs installed!

Also, congratualtions are in order for all the hard work Smyrna staff did this last week tagging all of those items! It couldn’t have been done without you all! Way to go staff! The implementation process is almost over, just keep tagging when you have spare time! And you’ll be done before you know it!
